Any way to sell a car that doesn't run?

As posted last night, my megane has broken.

Its a 2003 so worth about £2400, similar ones on ebay for that price.

Cost of repair - new car key £200 and cam belt repair £1500.

Is there anyway I can make £700-£800 of a broken car? It has alloys and a new Cd player - would it be worth braking it for parts?

Is there any websites that would buy it?

Or could I take it to an auction?

Thanks in advance

Yes you could probably make that kind of money by breaking it but you would have to do all the stripping work yourself and advertise the parts in places like owners clubs/forums and ebay.
  • look for a replacement engine, you should get one under £1500.
