Cancelling Flight, Can I get a refund?

Hi wonder if anyone can advise me please. I booked a flight to Kenya last weekend through agent with Emirates. I have not got the tickets yet but unfortunately, due to serious illness my mum has been hospitalised and I have to travel as soon as I can get a flight to Kenya this Friday or weekend.
The flight I have booked is for 18th Aug returning via Dubai where I have also booked 4 nights accommodation. Do you think I can get any refund on the tickets? I had booked for two as was planning holiday with my partner so total paid is over £1000!

Read your T & C and I think you will still available for a refund depending on how many days you cancelled prior to your flight. Also if you took Travel Insurance they might be of help as well. Good luck.0
