    Scottish Power will apply the tier 1 price on a daily basis over every period when they generate a bill. This will be once a quarter. It's the second way, not the first way.

    If you do spend £1.38 on gas then lots of that will be the cheaper rate - only 12.5 kWhs per day are charged at tier 1 - about 37.5p. The other pound is the cheaper tier 2.

    If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

    Eh? Second paragraph was completely separate - nothing to do with flat rate tariffs. I still maintain, though, that people should choose the cheapest tariff. The only flat rate provider I know doesn't really provide a flat rate - they also subsidise different meter types and low-lifes who have not paid their bills. If they had the one flat rate base tariff plus a lot of add-ons and charges, now that would be equitable.
    I assume you refer to ebico.
    if they were to add additional charges then it would no longer be a flat rate and why would a lot of add ons and charges make them more equitable.confused0003.gif

    Hiya all, I have just read the meters for the last 7 days and submited to Scotish Power.

    Electric = £10.76
    Gas = £8.18

    Total payment = £18.87 for 7 days.

    That is a saving of £1.15 from last weeks total. :j

    I used the tumble dryer only once to dry some sheets and towels and I use the slow cooker quite a lot.
    When the oven does go on (bottom half of a double oven) I try to put baking in at the same time to fill both shelfs.
