Quinn Home Insurance complaint

I have a claim on going with Quinn:mad: and they are not playing ball so I am going to take them to the county court has anybody had todo this before and how did you get on

    Why don't you use the formal complaints procedure and the independent insurance ombudsman for free (not necessarily quick though).
  • Becaus they are taking 8 months or more and we need some of the items stolen now as it happend last November

    Quinn are very similar to Ryan Air, they look at everything in a commercial way. If they believe they have a chance of losing they will settle to avoid wasting money.

    Are you aware that if you go to court and are still not happy you cannot go to the ombudsman. If you go to the ombudsman first and are not happy you can then go onto the court.

    If you take your case to the Ombudsman, it costs you nothing but will cost Quinn circa £450 even if they win. The costs can scare them much more than a county court case so it's worth considering, but you should know the Ombudsman takes many months.

    Here is a famous court case that Quinn lost and yes they did try and get the claimant to sign an acceptance in full and final settlement 14.7m for a claim that as worth 40m +
