    hi
well done on what you have done so far, just a few comments from me dont give up on weight watchers you must feel you need it and therefore its good for you and will help you with your health also (i also go to weight watchers and would give up other stuff before i gave that up) however you really should reconsider the gym find free ways of working out is there a wii in your household they are great for working out i use mine all the time also have to agree with others on the driving lessons i think you should stop for now, also the clothes if your going to weight watchers what are you buying clothes for???? a top tip from me put you clothes that used to fit into a tumble dryer i did this when i drop 1 size and it shrunk them enough to allow me to wear them a little longer, if you really need new clothes go to charity shops dont waste the money buying clothes until your at your goal weight

now heres some interesting news that might help you think about these options if you take

    160 driving lessons
    23 gym
    40 clothes
70 you already pay to your debt
    125 surplus
    = 418
going off that figure you could be debt free in 5-6 months depending on interest
looking at your debts you could have all the interest charging debts paid off in 3 months with the above money as there is only £848 charging interest

i know it would be hard to give up the above but for the maximum of 6 months without and then you would be debt free i think is great or at least consider the above for 3 months so you can pay off the debts which charge interest

good luck with anything you decide to do and take care
i do hope my post makes sense

Thanks, you post does make sence :j
I've just put the £40 for clothes, as i know i will need new clothes once i have reached my goal, so i have been putting that money aside for when i do. I have only been at WW for 2 weeks, and have already lost 7.5lbs. I do feel like i need it, me and my mum go together. And this month she paid for my monthly pass, but next month i will have to pay it myself.

I am going to try and get my mum to agree to pay for 1 of my driving lessons each week, as this is what she used to do before. And it is her thats wants me to drive, to help her out with taking my little brother places, and picking him up again (v. popular 13 year old who has something on almost every night of the week) If she does that, then that frees up £80 a month.

I really want to keep the gym, as it has been working for me. Yes there is a wii, wii fit, and wii fit plus in my house, and i have a step maching thing. But what i really need is cardio workouts, like the epilitical and cycling machine, the stair master and rowing machine. These seem to be the only things that actually make me feel like i'm doing something, and burning fat.
My £23 gym, also includes ANY classes, such as spin, body attack, bums, tums and thighs etc. The gym itself costs £4 a time, and the classes cost £3.50 a time.
I go to the gym 3 times a week, and go to 2 different classes as well, which seperatly would cost me £86! So i think it is worth it, for the time being anyway until i get down to the size i want, then i can drop down to once/twice a week and just pay the £4.
  • I would say keep the gym, so long as you are REALLY making use of it. A few years ago I used to pay £50 a month for the gm, and lots of people thought it was far too much, but I used to go 5 or 6 days a week, for at least 2hrs at a time, making it cost only about £1 an hour. I now live miles from a gym and go to individual classes, costing £4 an hour! If you really throw yourself into the gym you may well find you don't spend so much wandering round the shops or browsing online and could maybe cut back your spending a little, say £5 a week, saving £20 a month.

Ditto WW. Gym and WW together will hopefuly mean you reach goal soon and become a Gold member, so you will be able to keep up the motivation and support for free.

I totally understand driving lessons, but could you maybe cut back a little? Maybe have 1 90min lesson rather than 2 1hr ones? This would save £40 a month and you would actually have almost as much lesson time as you half the hellos and goodbyes.

You could cut your clothes budget to maybe £20 for now, throw the rest to your debts, then top it up late with the money you will save not paying out on WW once at goal.

These little changes could free up £80 a month to put towards clearing your debts while still allowing you to do all the things you want to. You are only young and I think you should be allowed to enjoy yourself, but would hate you to end up in the mess I found myself in a few years sgo.
