Ideas for weathering red tiles

Hi there, a bit of my roof has just been patched. My original roof is made of red tiles, which are now brown and moss-covered. I am looking for ideas to 'weather' my patched-in bit of roof, and make it look the same as the rest, as quickly as possible!

I thought of natural yoghurt during a sunny period; it will grow bacteria and discolour, but any rain will wash it off. Any other ideas??

It'll weather naturally. In a few months you won't notice the difference.

How many times will you actually be looking up at the roof?

Many new tiles have a coating which lasts for years and resists algae until it starts to wear off

Sometimes its better to replace in (say) a brown or mottled tile as it then fits in better with old stained lichen covered red tiles. Similarly, use a new granular tile to replace old smooth tiles which now have rough surfaces
