in Credit cards
Hi all,
I got my first ever credit card in November tbecause myself and my wife were going to South Africa. Using advice on this site, I chose the Post Office card as it doesn't charge for foreign transactions and it was 0% on purchases for the first three months.
On returning in Jan, I immediately applied for the Santander Zero card as being an A + L customer for my mortgage it was 0% for balance transfers for 12 months.
I received my first statement from the Post Office and paid £50 from the card which has left me with about £860 to pay. All the paper work went through from Santander and I have received my card this morning but have to activate it.
I also received my third Post Office statement this morning saying that I owe the minimum payment by Mar 18th.
My question is when I activate my card can I just do my balance transfer there and then OR should I pay the minimum payment off first then activiate the card and balance transfer.
Having never been in this position before, I am unsure of what to do.
Thanks for future replies

To be on the safe side pay the minimum off first and then balance transfer the rest.0
