If you have a wage slip you should have been paid.

Is this the first time you will have received payment into the account you were expecting in?

Are you sure they were due in today,

Have you checked your statement, if they are not showing as been paid in, contact your employer. If they went in, and then out, contact you bank.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Happy Birthday!

I would check with work and see.
My DH found no wages once and it was a problem at works end, something about certain bank having problems with the transaction.

If you have charges etc from bank they may amend if you explain but i dont think it is the norm for them to cancel more of a good will gesture.

If the employer made a mistake and didnt pay in the wages you can ask your employer to pay the charges, if the bank refuses.

  • Must be something in the air tonight! Both mine and DH wages were due in today but both employers have messed up and it hasn't happened. Typical - I've been trying to debt bust so the bills account is right down to zero. Quiet weekend for us.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Not good enough at all..so when are you getting paid? I know my ex employer was always messing up paying me, I called my bank who were happy to put a temporary overdraft in place.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

My wages will be late this month too. It's not the first time it's happened, my boss put the bacs payments through too late. I informed my boss that any charges that I get will need to be reimbursed by her as if she had informed me yesterday my wages would be late I could have transferred money to cover the DDs and she has accepted this. Try asking them for it to be reimbursed as it's their fault not yours.

Sorry to hijack the thread OP, in my case my employer wrote to me - letter received when I got home this evening, to say they'd had a problem and money would come through next week on the 1st. But DH's employer thinks its a joke and has only admitted to DH on the phone that he'll get his money next week sometime!?!

To be fair my employer has given us the option to claim back any charges incurred. I think DH's would just laugh about it, tbh.
