Need help understanding electricity and gas costs

I switched to npower back in January 2009 and am on SOL14 Tariff. From the confirmation letters from npower - the charges (excl.VAT) for usage are:
Gas unit rate : 3.423p
Electricity unit rate : 9.00p

Consumption up to latest meter reading (Feb/2010):
Electricity: 3086 units
Gas: 722 units

To the best of my knowledge - annual standing charge for Gas/Electricity is £55.00 (ex.VAT) each.

How much should my total bill be? From my calculations the bill should be approximately £280/=? Am I wrong and missing something? Please help.

    Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper
    Gas = 722 x 3.423p = £24.71 (£25.95 inc VAT at 5%)
    Electricity = 3086 x 9p = £277.74 (£291.63 inc VAT at 5%)

    So, £25.95 + £291.63 = £317.58

    plus some proportion of the annual standing charge I guess.

    I figured out where I was wrong. I missed to convert cubic metres to kWh and was getting the wrong units for gas consumption. I don't think there's anything wrong with the bills afterall. Thank you for all the responses.
