key stuck in pvc back door

Can any one help i have a pvc door and when i turn my key to open the door, it opens as normal. But the key will not come out. So what i have to do is lift the handle up when the door is open so the lock springs out in view then i can take my key out.But i should not have to do this cos its not normal. i have tried penal / wd40. when i have the key in and turn it so door opens the key is slightly off line from the top ie: imagine a clock face and the key should be facing 12oclock for you to remove it,but my key is positioned at about 10 past 12 and needs to to turn slighty more to the left.
Any ideas anyone could the lock be strained or has the barrel broke or maybe the lock may need realigning some how. Any suggestions please.

    Hi,

It sounds like your lock is worn out and the cam inside has slipped the best option is to replace the barrel.
