Can you point me in the direction of your bank manager OP? He seems like a generous fella.
On a side note, you're only young and naive once, I say go for it and worry about reality later0 -

I can do , He phoned me again today and asked if i was taking he loan out as the offer still stands and my account hasn't changed. I said that at the moment i couldn't afford the loan interest for the one at the bank.Peter: Hey Lois... what's this word? Lois: Evil. Peter: And this one? Lois: Knievel. Peter: And this one? Lois: Was. Peter: And this one? Lois: Born. Peter: And this one? Lois: In.
Peter: And this one? Lois: Montana. Peter: Ah... oh, hey Lois did you know Evil Knievel was born in Montana? Family Guy - I Take Thee, Quagmire 04x210 -

You can't afford the loan, let alone the interest.
Despite 5 pages of similar replies, you simply do not realise you can't afford a £20K loan.
You're a horse which has been led to water.... the rest is up to you.
See you in the DFW board later on....Beware of imitations e.g. Robert Sterling0 -
I got a bank loan a few years back, to buy a car too but they made the offer and then it was left up to me. The bank manager certainly didn't phone me in person all the time to find out if I was taking it or not.0

I need some help with a loan, ive looked on the loan guide and comparing loan websites.
I need £20,000 over 5 years , The Bank (LloydsTSB) have offered me one , but at 14.9% which means i be paying back around £9,000 interest.
I was looking for more along the lines of 8-9%.
I see that First Direct & Nationwide have got these type of loans , but its says you already have to be a customer or sign up and have a least X amount being paid in. I dont want to leave my current bank account with Lloyds.
Im 20 earn around £1k a month and only pay finance on my current car of £200 a month and part of the loan will be used to pay the rest of the finance off.
Can anyone help me out
Does it have to be from the bank? Do your research on the net and i am sure you will find a better deal. Just because your bank manager is all nice and happy doesnt mean you have to take the loan out.
Your credit history will also depend on what bracket of interest you will be paying for a loan. When i was 19 i went into the bank and asked for a 5 grand loan at 8.9%, unfortunately because i was so young and never built up a credit history the best they could offer was 14.9%. I walked straight out the bank phoned around for the best deal and got one with virgin at 9.9%.
Your choice, your life, and its good to get some advise & opinions from this board. So if things do go pear shaped for you. You know where to look.

^ never , my parents have never brought me anything. Only Bdays & Xmas's i used to get stuff. Ive worked every day since 16 and going to college to earn the possesions i own. TBH i actually hate people (& hate when people say) that scourge off their parents.
I'm sorry, but how can you say you don't scrouge off your parents if you don't contribute anything towards food / rent / bills? I know that's off topic but it really annoys me when adults are making a good wage but don't feel that they should contribute anything towards the household0 -
Go for it crampo.....But watch your speed!0
