Anyone claimed with Barclaycard????

  • i see some truth in both of your points here guys, N.I.D is right that barclaycard and barclays bank plc are two seperately registered companies.

But then every company has to be "owned" by some one or some other "entity" in the case of barclaycard it is not owned by any one person or group of people it is owned by it's parent company "barclays bank plc" which as a company can own and operate other businesses.

Therfore barclays bank plc is to a degree accountable for the conduct of barclaycards business affairs but in the event that you were to take any form of action against barclaycad i would have thought, as N.I.D says that you would take that action against barclaycard seperately to any action being brought against the bank, unless of course the credit card was given as part of a bank account "package" asoften occurs with fee paying bank accounts, in which case then i suppose you would be able to bring action againg the bank for both the account and credit card charges/ppi policy.

I think you are both right to a degree but as often happens with these things a line has been blurred somewhere......lets all have a beer and forget about it....i've got mine....cheers.....lol

I thank you for clarifying that confused90 - as i said i've been there, done that, and got a ski holiday (obviously wasn't just given that by Barclays Bank Plc - but that's what i used the free cash on)....
