in Credit cards
Hi all,
I think I'm having a bit of a blonde moment and hoping someone can help! I have a A&L credit card with a high balance on it, I have a M&S credit card with a low balance on it. The M&S card has a high credit limit, enough so that I wanted to transfer the balance of the A&L card onto it because it is a lower rate of interest. M&S inform me I cannot balance transfer until they invite me to. Surely if they think I am credit worthy enough to give me a good limit I don't see the problem with how I use that limit. Hoping that makes sense!
Thanks all

They refuse the right at any time not to honour any balance transfers. Has your circumstances changed recently they may flag up to them that you're more of a credit risk?0

No change in circumstances. Have tried to do this about 3 times over the last year but keep getting the same answer. Over this time they have also increased my credit limit three times. Thats whats confusing!! Technically offering me more money but not letting me access it for a balance transfer.
Ta so much for your quick reply.

Bumping up. Please help!!0

A balance transfer is at the card's discretion. If they won't allow it there is not much you can do0

They don'thave to allow you to BT.
And at the moment they has chosen not too.
you can of course spend on the M&S card and use the 'spare' monty to pay off the A&L ... a lot slower of course but might help a little.
Why not apply for specific cards that allow 0% BT or low life of balance?0 -
Agree with Clapton - just apply for a new 0% card and move both balances there"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
