Heres a tree i made for a friends wedding, well i say made it was a display tree for the willow tree figurines, i saw it in a shop window and asked if i could buy it, they said they didnt sell them as it was a display product but i begged them and we agreed a price of £20, they prdered me in a new one, i then added a few ribbon roses here and there and bought the tags of ebay and punched little heats in then and attached some silver thread.
My friend then sold the tree on ebay for £85 and gave me my £20 back :rotfl:She has all the tags in a little book that we made, some of the ones done by the kids were the best as they drew little pictures on theirs.
Just thought i would add it to give you all some inspiration.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

Princesswoo, thats beautiful. I'm hoping to make a tree similar to that. I've done some research and apparently the branches i need are called Manzanita branches. I'm going to ask a local florist to see if they can get them in for me. Apparently they sell them in Covent Garden but as im in Manchester thats a little far for me to go!What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

princesswoo - thats fantastic, I love the tags and hope to do the same thing with a book afterwards. What a profit aswell, you should go into business ; )
mistyw they were from Hobbycraft, I looked for ages for something strong enough, think it was £4.99 for 3, so not cheap but they work perfect. The vase was the hardest thing to find, couldn't believe my luck when saw this one in Next for £22 recently, the top edge means that the twiggs sit at different angles not just straight up. xDMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 315Married 03/04/2010with many thanks to MSE Wedding boardLO 23/03/12 Special thanks to TTC thread0 -

can I ask what you've written on your card thats sitting in front of the vase?
Also just a wee bit of info that might help anyone else thats going to 'borrow' your idea, lol, the vase is handkerchief style. Thought it might help.

No problem Kathleen. The card in front of the tree says:As we begin our new journeyA brand new Mr and MrsWe could surely use your advice and wishes……Share with us your wisdom about marriage, love and life. The secret to being a good husband or a top notch, first rate wife.Jot down a memory, a reminder of our day, or just draw a doodle or a picture if you don’t know what to say! Also the vase was from Next (recently) and was £22, works perfectly as allows the twiggs to drop at different angle's for hanging on.Then it's just a few place name cards for the tags and some ribbon to hang on the tree. Hope this helps : ) xDMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 315Married 03/04/2010with many thanks to MSE Wedding boardLO 23/03/12 Special thanks to TTC thread0 -
Looks lovely :-)
Sorry I'm being thick here but do the tags go on first or do people write on them first? Would be hard to write on them if they were already hanging.
And have you done extra tags? Incase idiots like me mess them up and need a spare one!Bump due 22nd September0
