Tile transfers - are they any good?

Im looking for a simple cheap way of sorting out some tiles in the ensuite bathroom in our new house. There are some randomly placed patterned tiles in amongst plain white ones. My thought was to get some nicer looking tile transfers (do they still make them or are they so last year?!) to cover up the random tiles I dont like.

Are tile transfers any good? If not is there any other easy way of covering up the random tiles, I dont want to paint them or chip them out as it could be messy.

Thanks!

Its a personal thing really, but I dont like tile transfers seen them in other peoples homes and they looked tacky, cheap, not striaght, and seem to be damaged easily. If you are careful maybe you can get them looking a better. At the end of the day if you dont like the existing tiles tring transfers cant hurt? Overall I would concider this a quick and cheap way of tarting up the room until you take the plunge and redecorate it the way you like.

  • Thats just it though, the paintwork is easily done as theres not much wall exposed thats not tiled. The main stay of tiles are perfect lovely clean white, just what I like and dont want to change, its just theres about 7 patterened tiles and a small border of similar ones in the shower cubicle. These are the only things Id change about the whole ensuite, the rest of it is perfect. Maybe I'll give it a go its got to cost less than a tenner and being a bit of a perfectionist I'll have a damn good try at getting them right, if I dont then I'll replace them somehow.

Try the transfers, if you don't like the result it's only cost you a few quid.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
