What is the file 'Bonjour' on my pc?

occasionally when uninstalling things i check in my progam files just to make sure that the file or program has gone.
I have noticed a file called 'Bonjour' but do not know what it is or if i should delite it. there are 3 files inside one dll, bonjour namespace proveider a text file and mDNSResponer file.
anyone know what this is and do i need it on my pc??

Its to enable easy networking and printing with mixed mac and pc networks. Its good if you have itunes on more than one computer. you can also share music with a friends computer without worrying about complicated ip addresses etc0

"Bonjour" is Apple's software which links Apple applications over a internal network, it's designed to auto-configure so it basicaly by-passes local PC firewalls (Used for media and printer sharing on Macs and Windows.)Laters

I used it, I tried deleting/renaming everything, I eventually used a program called lspfix to get rid of it
