Wanted: Small lunch box just for an apple.

  • Have just looked at the link for the fruity faces and could see why children would love them, and they are only £3.99, so just as cheap as the alternatives suggested (apart from a paper bag).

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

We've used a small Addis lidded bowl for about 6 years now - as long as the apple isn't too big then the lid goes on just fine. Generally the apple does not roll around in it either. Or I would second the person who has suggested the lock & lock box - either will do the job just fine.

I have the ones from Concentrate (I bought the lunchbox which had them in) and they are good, but they don't fit a very big apple in them, so might be worth bearing that in mind. They do look cool though :)

I don't use them very much as don't tend to take lunch, but used to use them for hard boiled eggs, carrot sticks etc. They're not watertight though as I found out when I put some pineapple in and the juice leaked. Oops!

    Hi,

What a fuss for an apple. I'd just give him a banana instead and forget about it :rotfl::rotfl:

what about a coconut, it'll take a bit of bruising, and look at the fun the child could have smashing it open against the school wall, :rotfl:

or, cut the bottom off a suitably sized plastic bottle, line with bubble wrap if necessary, paint an apple on it, or orange, whatever.
