Should I buy proper seed potatoes or can I use supermarket spuds instead?

Supermarket ones are fine yeah, seed potatoes are getting stupidly expensive these days. Another tip to make them go further is after they have chitted (sprouted) any medium sized potatoes and above can be cut up into halves and for large potatoes quaters. Ensure that there is a healthy sprout on each section though.
