I am also doing the Beauty Bible trial and have received completely different products from you. I don't think I would have chosen any of them but for the £30 I paid I think it is worth it. There are two things for age spots and a 'miracle cream' moisturiser which I am hoping will work lol! I also got face oil, hand cream, body cream, and a few other things. Only one thing that was useless which was a glitter eye liner
    .

Interesting, if you have time would you let us know what exactly what you got? Which one is the miracle cream? They mentioned this too me in the email they sent and I presumed it was the cream I hadnt heard of that I received but I guess not, just being nosey;)
Thank you for this site Martin

    I've been Money Tipped!
TBH reading the above comments about the mixed luck makes me feel less confident in the Beauty Bible's ratings. e.. I have fine but dry curly hair , and find that lots of people with my hair type don't know how to manage it brilliantly, harder still for people who don't have it to try an imagine it....how could they try and guess if they got a product for hair like this?

Love that package:Twell done, let us know how you get on. I used the Elizabeth Arden foundation yesterday and really liked it its not a brand I would of even thought to buy, however I'm not sure I like it anymore than my Maybelline dream cream, dd used it as well last night, even though she doesnt need plumping she loved it. The blusher is to die for, similar to Nars Nico but more pink and the anti age serum is really effective, I can see a small difference after two uses, I will wait and see if I have a reation to it in the next week or so. I'm going to try the hand cream and tanning gel today:)

  • We are glad that so many of you are enjoying your packages for our next round of Tried & Testeds. Just to clarify: what we send out depends on which book we are testing for. It is currently our upcoming Anti-Ageing book, which is why their are some high-value products in there. With reference to comments from other testers re: lower value packages, we have never sent out a package worth less than £100. However, last year we worked on our fantastic book Beauty Steals, which focussed on mass market ranges, and so there were indeed many supermarket products sent out (and many of these did incredibly well in our testing); we got a great deal of positive feedback about the products we sent out. We look for products at all price points that WORK, and the value of any package is a bit of a lottery depending on what we're trialling at any point. As our devoted testers know, however, we require very comprehensive forms to be filled in - these are not just 'freebies', but are given to us on trust by the beauty brands because they know we are rigorous in our testing. It's a massive operation with five people working on these projects, but the books - including Beauty Steals and Green Beauty Bible - really have helped many women find products that deliver on their promises.

Yes that is the first step. The testing is underway for the latest Anti-Ageing book so you might have to wait a couple of years before you are contacted when they may write a new book.

I paid £30 for posting and packing and received goods worth about £150. Some of the things I would not have chosen myself and will probably never use again but it is interesting testing new products. I always read the consumer tests in magazines to see what people say about them and I like giving my opinion which might be quoted in the book.

I have done about 4 rounds of testing for Beauty Bible and always got a mix of high/low value products - the point is that this is testing - and the charge is one for admin. You may or may not agree with the £30 charge but then that is your choice whether to participate or not - I have always found it worth while and found some great (and not so great!) products.

Thrilled with my haul this time - the whole lot retails at over £255

    I got

    Rodial cleanser
    Clarins after sun
    Clarins Multi Blush
    Crystal Clear Anti ageing serum
    Guerlain Lip balm
    Liz Earle Foot repair cream
Organic Pharmacy lip and eye cream
    Virgin vie skin tonic oil
    He- Shi body Souffle
    Frederic Fekkai conditioner

Very excited to start trying these
