sold concert ticket but buyer hasn't paid or been in contact

i listed a concert ticket on ebay as i was unable to attend, the concert is on the 4th March but as of yet the buyer hasnt paid and has ignored several emails i don't want the ticket to go to waste so i sold on ebay as a last resort but given that the concert is pretty soon and i need to post the ticket out how long should i leave it before relisting it? or even giving a 2nd chance offer? The auction only ended on Wed but i did state on the listing that i only accepted paypal as payment to ensure the ticket gets delivered to the buyer on time, as the buyer hasn't contacted me i have no idea why they haven't been able to pay or if there is any problem with paying, in normal circumstances i would give 7 days for the buyer to pay but given the concert is next week i really don't know what to do. thanks for any help

  • Not much help to you now but when listing you could have selected immediate payment.

Because the concert is so close I would be tempted to relist as a 'buy it now' with immediate payment, especially if the tickets are valuable or sought after.

You will, of course, have to deal with the consequences if the original buyer suddely decides to pay (probably a neg & reported) However, given the concert is close it is unusual for the buyer to not pay or contact you - if they were genuine they would be aware of the urgency in paying and would be keen to get the tickets.

I have had a non-payer on gig tickets before, I think it attracts dodgy buyers, whether they be kids who want to go but can't or vigilantes who object to tickets being 'touted'.
  • hi thanks for the replies i have managed to find out how to get the buyers number so will give her a call and take it from there, hopefully its an up to date number otherwise i will just relist the ticket if i dont hear anything today
    Thanks again
