Are you haven't come off something like a price protection tariff onto another tariff? Any price rise by the Big 6 would have been all over the news.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

It was an average of 7% of core prices, the prepayment decrease was 9% and the core decrease was 5%.
I think some of the old onlines might have increased.0 -
British Gas anounced a 7% price cut on 4th Feb. I've just had my gas bill and what they haven't advertised is that they increased their prices on 1st Feb so the 7% cut was only really just under 4.5%.
They also increased their electricity prices by 3% on 1st Feb
I think you are mistaken!
They decreased the price of their Standard gas tariff by 7%. Some of their other tariffs are linked to the Standard tariff e.g. 'we guarantee it will be x% below the standard tariff'.
Also the level of consumption can affect the percentage decrease.
More detail please.0
