Buyer told by 'Ebay' not to pay for goods.

Hi,
I'm a bit perplexed here and hope someone can help me!!
I sold a Bobbi Brown compact set last Sunday and today the buyer has contacted me saying she got an email from Ebay telling her my listing had been removed for violating policies and she shouldn't pay for it.
The item hasn't been moved and is still online plus I have had no emails from Ebay themsleves.
For the record it's 100% genuine.
Is my buyer a victim of some sort of spoof?
I told her she may have been and invited her to click on the link where she can see the item hasn't been removed.
Has anyone else had a similar situation?

It could be a scam, and if either you or the buyer clicked on the link in an email, the scammers would have your account and password.
I once had a scam email from an irate "buyer" demanding to know where their item was. The link to the supposed item wasn't genuine.0 -
I'd ask them to forward the email to you, and then forward it to ebays spoof email address spoof@ebay.co.uk and they reply fairly quickly to tell you if it is a fake or not.

If your item is still showing in your ebay summary as unpaid after the 4th day, then raise a an unpaid item dispute.
This way you can rightfully say that ebay have told the buyer to pay up!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
