amazon spend £5 on mp3s get a pound off code

Has anyone else found that the code code listed in this weeks email for amazon does not work?

I put £5 in my account, in Mp3s dispatched by Amazon, and entered the code but it generated a message saying I was inelegible for the offer.

I received the below response when I contacted Amazon by email- bad spelling and grammar included:

'Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Amazon with your enquiry concerning our Mp3 downloads.

On checking our website and confirm that there was no promotion listed in website as you mentioned.

For your referance, we you view all promotional information through our following link:

(I cannot post the link)

MSE are still advertising this code, but Amazon denied to me that the offer existed- what's the truth?
