Having sent a template to the clydesdale bank for a ppi claim,i have recieved a letter back stating that due to the length of time since the policy was arranged(2000-2003) they no longer hold any point of sale documentation, they are unable to evidence the ppi was mis-sold,but as a good will gesture they are offering me £190,should i accept or press further?

Hi there
And welcome. Is this loan still active or settled?
If this loan was only settled in recent years, say the last 5/6 years they should still hold some details of the loan.If you have an account number this may help.It is up to you of course on the offer, but do you remember anything of the policy at all by any chance? The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I was in the same position over an older loan and although I had the actual agreement (or copy) they did not have details of the early settlement so even FOS said they could not help with that one. All the others claimed for I won on so good luck in whatever you decide to do.Hi,I didnt have any details at the time but i sent photocopies of my bank statements showing payments for the two loans i was claiming for,one loan, the most recent one is returning just under 4k to me,the other one is offering me a good will gesture as they have no longer got any of the point of sale docs, but claim they provided valuble ppi cover from 2000-2003.I know have the loan acc number fo the older of thr loans.0
