Whilst you are busy appealing their decision...which is a waste. (if the computer says no, its really no with them)

LTSB is confused when it comes to the CRA update.
If you search this forrum, you would see loads of similar complaints. They decline to upgrage people's account or offer O/D etc claiming excuse codes such as 'credit bureau data', 'credit policy decline ' etc. This codes are meaningless as some LTSB staff do not even understand. There have been valid instances where a customer had a clean file but yet he was told credit bureau data.
It seems the system is temperantal and wakes up on a good day cos after a few months, it would suddenly disappear.

    Goodluck

The way the system works is that your credit score is a combination of the external credit agency data + LTSB internal data.

The internal data is made up of lTSB risk appettie (you have no control on this) and your behaviour. This is why your score can change but your behaviour hasn't as LTSB risk appetite varies.

legally if any credit decision is made that involes more than just the creditors data (in this case LTSB) you have to be told even if the other agencies involved didnt harm your chances of credit.

So if LTSB data says no and external says meh they have to tell you to check your credit agencies as they form part of the equation.

Posting really quickly but hope that makes sense - i can understand how on the receiving end it can feel random and stupid.
