My errors weren't down to defaulting to a previous code, I had about 12 to put in & got errors on about 5 of them - was going to ring them but someone had mentioned that they tell you to try the code again so I did & they said sorry you haven't won blah blah.

I too had the "error processing your claim" message when entering the code online. According to the woman on the helpline it was supposed to give you the details of the claim process instead of giving that message and it's the fault of Razorfish, the company running it. She said McDonalds are aware of it and looking at alternative ways to distribute the prize funds - sounds like a fob-off to me, but she did say put my claim in writing to them.
Hi I have had this message can anyone tell be the phone number or the address so I can try to put in a claim?? I didnt take the details down as I just assumed it had gone wrong
Thanks

Is it worth contacting the ISP over this? If McDonalds are in fact aware there is a problem and are in no hurry to rectify it, nor suspend entries online, then there is no real chance of winning a prize - which seems a tad unfair, especially as there is a purchase involved.
As it is the chances of winning are so slim entering at the right pre-determined minute of the hour (or who's to say they've not narrowed it down even further to the right second of the hour...) that those who might've won are knowingly being denied their £1k prize which they won fair and square...
This comp is going to be over soon - I'd be interested to see a winners list to see how many of the 996 £1k prizes up for grabs were actually won. And as a side thought, would McDonalds really have paid out £996,000 to winners just on the online part of the comp? I know they're giving away £500k cash and 10 cars, but the chances of someone actually finding it in the millions of burgers sold is even slimmer than the online comp. And that's only if the lucky recipient doesn't throw their packaging away because they're not bothered about the comp...
Visa gave away @£110k in total in their comp which ran over a similar time period... Maybe I'm being slightly cynical - or I'm thinking too much because I can't sleep- but surely if McDonalds had almost a £1million online prize fund they'd be shouting it from the rooftops? The fact they're not suggests they always knew they'd never really be giving it away in the first place...
Any other thoughts?0 -
Hi - I found the number and phoned yesterday - think they must get lots of calls. she asked if I'd phoned before.
My details were taken - she checked but suprise I had not won. I entered quite a few but there were a few stickers I couldnt remember if I had entered before but she informed me some were repeats and I had not entered a code that was valid at the correct time (so I may have been close) -i would have thought the site would let you know you had entered the codes already.
sort of given up with this now.

Yesterday i saw a guy vault over the counter, grab 2 rolls of the stickers they keep above the burger 'bay' and run off with them!
No doubt you will see them on eBay sometime soon!
Also i've been collecting them, got all of them except the rares, only won a few food prizes. I entered loads into the website but it is just painfully slow and 99% of the time i get an error message returned.
Still... it's a good excuse to visit McDonalds, because i feel like i might win something, just maybe next time... one more burger... BLAhH
(first post, i've come across this forum for years now and it always has great advice so i decided to register finally :j )0 -
