Regency Country Club

I have been contacted by telephone by Central Marketing Ltd offering me a weeks stay in the Regency Country Club in Tenerife for £149 if I agree to go to a presentation whilst there. Looked on Alpha Rooms and the cost is about £1000 per week to stay there. Any one else have experience of this? I know there must be some catch.
Thanks

the catch is called pressure - and they know how to apply it - especially if you are there on a 'freebie' which they consider it is - do you have to pay for your own flights on top? That can change the £££ equation.
As far as I can remember the
One rule we have always abided by - Just Say No - but now we actually own a timeshare week with a Regency resort in Madeira - the other half didn't say No to that one - and it is very nice too.
Check out the RCI website to see the resort and look to see what the 'trading power points' are - the higher the better - dependent on week and apartment size.
have a look at https://www.regencyresorts.com/ and also
http://www.rci.com/RCIW/RCIW_index?body=RCIW_resortItemBody&layout=RCIW_layout&i_resort_id=5289&pageTitle=%20Resort&action=resortdir&orgPage=resortdetail
I admit it does look very nice but one drawback is that it is situated up high overlooking Los Cristianos - hence the 'panoramic views' - so lots of hillwalking to bear in mind - easy to go down but much much harder to go back up - especailly after a light ale or two!
If you do decide to go enjoy it - but there are far better places to buy timeshare. What goes around - comes around

Don't go, you will regret it, it's not the price but the high maintenance charges they will force upon you after a while so that they can continue to make money when all pitches sold out.:grouphug: Threewheeler0
