I've just taken delivery of a brand new American style fridge/freezer - its a free replacement for my 4.5 year old RS21 which developed to dreaded 'buzz' . 3 repairs were carried out over 18 months and then Samsung had a problem with a couple of units actually catching fire so they asked all owners to accept another engineers visit.
However, when I phoned them just before Christmas, they took me by surprise when they offered me a free replacement (I thought they might offer a moderate contribution to a new one bearing in mind I've had a few years use out of it).
I've been away for a month so could only just take delivery. I'm really pleased with the outcome - I'm impressed with the way Samsung have tried to put things right (even though I reckon the original freezer was VERY badly designed).
