re-claiming bank charges

I must add defeat and say the bank beat me!!!!!!

If the Halifax had not dragged there feet when I first asked for my list of bank charges I may have got my money bank. So now I am left with a large overdraft and have to put up with it.

    Sorry to hear that.

    Could I ask how the bank dragging its feet in response to your request for transaction charges directly affected the outcome of your subsequent claim please?

  • I asked for my list of bank charges in may 07, the bank told me 40 days, but they never arrived. I chased it up and i kept getting letters saying 40 days and then in July they put a hold on reclaiming.

    Why didn't you chase up your information cos any hold on reclaiming is irrelevant to getting your data?

  • I did try to chase it up the manager at my local branch emailed twice and got no reply the telephone number she gave me was an automated service. So i had to get my statements for the last 6 years and that took a while to come. By the time i got me amount of charges to them they had just put reclaiming on hold.
