I moved into a rented property at the beginning of Dec checked the reading for gas and electric and after an estimated bill of £127 i set up an online account with the current supplier (Scottish power) so i could enter up to date meter readings before each bill was due to pay for what id used.
Now for around 5-6 weeks of gas and electric from Dec to mid-Jan...the bill was £107.00
Today i entered the new readings from mid Jan and the bill was shown as £306.44
The meter readings from moving in are...
Electricity
Original 34205
Diff.. 278
Mid Jan 34483
Diff.. 378
Today 34861
Gas
Original 10820
Diff... 350
Mid Jan 11170
Diff... 363
Today 11533
So by using 100 units of electric and 13 units of gas extra from the original amount the bill has almost tripled?!...
Someone tell me its not just me but the figures just dont add up..
