Hi i have been trying on dresses and have fallen madly in love with the ellis bridal 11125 dress but the shop has said it will cost £899 and then an extra £80 for extra length as i'm 5ft 9. my budget is really more like £700 does anyone know a stockist selling it cheaper? or know when this dress would be in a sale? im not getting married til august 2011 but I don't know if it will make any difference to the price if I wait a while? hope someone can help! x

i thikn you should ask for measurements, and also take into account any heels/underskirts you will wear as that will affect length. I'm five foot 8 and having to get my dress shortened, but its a different designer.

hope it all works out for you! beautiful dress!

Dresses can vary in size, so you may not need too much to alter it down to a 12, Linda is the best person to give you an idea, but don't think it will be that much!! As its new and unaltered, hopefully it will already be long enough!

think even if i wore flats this particular dress would still just be that little bit too short so i'm probably going to have to lengthen it, going to email for measurements then price it with a local dressmaker and keep my fingers crossed! x

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it may be long enough, however she is offering quite a bit of the fabric with it! A good dressmaker will be able to tell if its possible!

Okay, so I have found two amazing dresses and wanted to gaze longingly at them both today online so I can try and make a choice. However, I'm bugge red if I can find them!:(
Was hoping to enlist your help ladies

first one is apparently a Bekatex Venus P4441
The second is Rosetta Nicolini 'Joella'

I think that the rubbish bridal shop I went to however, may have put different names or product numbers on the dresses so you can only get them through the shop. I would prefer other stockists though as these guys have been rude.
    Help!

Oh, Berketex. Yes. It appears my fingers are having issues and not typing properly. I know! I couldn't find it and the Venus website doesn't have it either :( Though it has one of the others I liked.
Thankyou anyway bubbles, you're a star. Back to the drawing board.
