Franny you are so wonderful looking for me - I've had a look, it's not quite the same dress, but thanks anyway!

No problem, I think thats how we are going to find your dress, by someone listing it, but not putting the model name on it!

I know, it just seems so unlikely seeing as it's not one of the popular IS dresses and it's new this year. Why oh why didn't I fall in love with the Sancerre or the Cabaret (loads of those around)

I do have a back up plan, just waiting so see how successful it is!

We are having a rather informal wedding at the registry office then off for a pub lunch. This is the dress that I like: http://www.very.co.uk/imogen-bridesmaid-dress/573395345.prd even though it is a bridesmade dress. I want something that I can wear again if I wanted.

I am looking for a bridesmade dress for my sister (16) that won't outshine me but will still be nice. We don't have any colour scheme yet. Perhaps something that is just above the knee and definately not too low cut! I have seen some nice Ivory coloured dresses but I don't want people confusing her for the bride!

Also what sort of shoes will go with the dress I am thinking of having for myself? Doing a lot of online browsing at the moment but going to go trying things on in a couple of weeks with my sister.

    Thank-you for any help :)

Still stuck with what sort of dress to get my sister! I've seen so may lovely dresses but they are all cream/off white sort of colours. I worry it'll look odd in photos etc but I'm sure I don't want to wear white.
My sister's prom dress is much grander than the dress I would like!

How about going for a similar style in a different colour for her?

    Or something just floaty?

I visited my mum and sister earlier and showed them the dress I was looking at. My mum said she would buy it me :) but its out of stock in the champagne colour! Also had a look at Littlewoods and Kays as they stock the same things but neither have it in stock :(. Signed up for an e-mail for if they do get some more again. I had shown my sister the other colours and she loved the red one (my favourite colour too but want to wear a light colour for our wedding). When I see them both in a few days I will suggest it.

We are both the same size and the style of dress will suit us both.

I'm just gutted I didn't have the cash the other day when I found the dress before it went out of stock.

Sorry, think I am being a bit dense here!! You are the bride and want that dress in the champagne colour and your sister is the bridesmaid but you want her in a pale colour too??
If your sister is the bridesmaid, then the Red would look great next to the champagne!

  • Sorry, I am confusing you.

I want the champagne colour for me. I showed my sister the dress and she saw the red one which she really likes! So I think we'll be going for the same dress but she can have the red one!!

Just have to wait for the champagne colour to come back in stock hopefully or else I will be looking for something similar else where.
