I think all you can do is trawl websites! I have found the 4064 and 4066 at Berkshire brides.
    http://www.berkshire-brides.co.uk/wedding_dresses_in_stock.html

There are plenty of other ex-sample/secondhand shops around, I mainly found them through google. Nice dress by the way, there is a similar style by another designer on the 'sell my wedding dress' website!
  • Thanks for the suggestion....I've had a quick look on the website you mentioned - how do i find similar styles? do you search the description??

Sorry if this is a silly question - i am a complete novice at this!!

its 'under dresses in stock' but it not always up to date so you could call and ask.

I also checked Swoon for you but no luck. Its a similar type shop. Try also preloved, sell my dress, and all online dress sales. Failing that contact the designer find out who else stocks it and ask them how much theirs is for?
  • hello lovely people :j

So, I think I've found my ideal dress..it's an Alfred Angelo 2134. Just wondering if anyone can help me find it any cheaper than the £1095 including alterations, which I've been quoted? Thanks :)

  • I have the opposite problem to most of the B2B on here, I am looking for this dress:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/perfect-dress-custom-made-size-8-10-14-16-18-20-12-/280600520375?pt=UK_Wedding_Clothing&hash=item41551826b7
but a little more expensive than the £80 odd that the friendly Chinese dressmakers are asking for it! A friend of mine recently got married and bought a dress from a similar ebay company and although the dress was beautiful it wasn't very well made and didn't really match the description. Ideally I would like the flowers to be in a jade or teal colour to match the theme, and I'm looking to spend no more than £500. Less would be great.

I've spent the last two days online trying to find something but I'm struggling. Any suggestions?

hi monkey lovely dress , why not try ringing all the reasonable distance local stockists and quote them a little under what you have been quoted and see if they can do a better deal?
http://www.alfredangelounitedkingdom.com/Stores/StoreLocator.aspx If its a fairly new design you might as well wait until the sales and see what's in it.

the_insider thats a lovely dress as well. Might be worth asking for reccomendations for a dressmaker near you get it totally handmade? Or buy a strapless sweetheart dress and get a flowered strap (and overlaid bit) made to match your colours? You could have a go at making some flowers then you could really match the material perfectly or again pass onto a dressmaker to do. Have a google for images.
  • Thanks Maysie, I think I'm going to have to take it to a dressmaker. I've been looking for a pattern but I can't find one anywhere.

  • the_insider this is it, it's a Sottero Midgely. I thought I recognised it, I think I tried it on the other day in a dress shop. I could be completely misremembering, but I think it was around £900? Don't know if that's any help?

Maysie, thanks, yep ringing round is on my list of jobs for tomorrow. It does seem that it's a new style, so I guess it's unlikely I'll find one second hand. Unfortunately, our wedding is middle of June, so I'm concerned to wait until the sales, as think that might really be pushing it for it to be delivered / fitted in time?

  • Hello all!
I fell in love with a pair of flat shoes which I think would look so perfect with my dress, with a little rose on the top. Not sure how to post a photo, so I've just linked the ebay item here:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290496752466&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I got outbid on them on ebay, and can't find them anywhere now :(
Plus, it looks like Faith has gone into administration so no online shop to look at either :(

If anyone can work a bit of a miracle and happens to spot a pair in size 7 available somewhere, I'd be over the moon...

I do already have a pair of shoes with a small heel, but I thought these would be perfect for the evening when my feet get tired!
