GameCare warranty problem

Purchased a PSP for DS for xmas and took out the gamecare warranty. DS has SN and for some unexplainable reason has 'lost' said PSP in the home!
If he had deliberately broken it, it would have been covered, but as it has 'disappeared' we cannot claim!
Is there anything I can do?

So we could buy something from Gamecare, Sell it brand new on Ebay, then claim for another one
When it arrives, sell it on Ebay, then claim for another one??

Do you see where I am going with this??0 -
I do.
But they are all registered via the serial number. The problem I have is they want something resembling a psp to be sent to them, so, in theory, I could buy a badly broken one off eBay and falsely pass it off as 'mine' but, I am not deceitful, just think it is unfair that a child can be rewarded for possibly deliberately destroying property and therefore 'fraudulently' claiming, whereas you are not covered for a sn child possibly putting it in the bin!
See where I am going with this?0 -
and, once you have claimed under the gamecare policy, it ceases, so I couldn't repeatedly claim.0
-
and, as they require an item resembling a psp to be returned to them before sending a new one, you argument is pointless!0

I'm confused. You took out an policy from Game that covers accidental damage and extends the warranty on the product, not loss or theft. Surely if you had wanted the item to be covered for loss you would have paid for a policy that covers this?0

I don't know any extended warranty or insurance policy that covers deliberate damage by the owner0 -

Not sure what SN is.
Equally, not sure how you could completely lose a PSP in the confines of a house.0 -
I'm presuming SN is special needs. As Littlemiss27 points out, the insurance isn't for loss or theft, so you wouldn't be covered. I hope it turns up for you soon !0

Game's extra warranty are not worth the paper they are printed on. I had this on my PS3 and XBOX 360. When its sold to you it reads " Accidental damage and breakdown cover for 2 years. when you get the policy it reads in the fine print.
What is not covered.
Breakdown or damage caused by
a) use other then domestic use by your or your resident family.
b) not following the manufacturers instructions
c) your deliberately damaging the console
d) tampering with the manufacturers seal
e) weather damage
f) any accessories that were part of the original installation.
g) any external drives fitted
h) wear and tear or gradual deterioration of performance .
They refused a repair on my PS3 under section h as the laser would not read discs. Then they refused to repair the xbox under section c as the DVD draw would not close. After many arguments in the shop they offered to repair under a good will gesture .0 -
Yes SN does mean special needs (autism) and we are continuing to turn the house upside down. We have removed the bin from the kitchen (until we can find one with a keypad lock!)
I won't bother with GameCare again. Household insurance has an excess of £100, so not worth attempting a claim there.
The hunt goes on!!0
