EON, moving house query

in Energy
Were currently renting and are with EON for gas and electric..
We are in the process of buying and will be (hopefully) getting the keys approx 3 weeks before we need to move out of the rented place (renovations needed before moving in)
We would like to stay with EON (good package for us), how do we do this with an overlap in houses?
Not sure who suppliers are for new house
Similar situation I guess for water but that one I think the suppliers are the same as its the same village as we are living in at the moment.
Thanks

Hi clairet707,
The best thing to do is contact E.ON and let them know the date that you will be taking over responsibility of the new property, they will then be able to start the process of taking over the supply if they are not the current provider. Don't do this before you have completed.
You will need to give the date that you leave your rented home along with the final meter readings, this will make sure you receive an accurate final bill.
As you are moving and want E.ON to supply the new house, you can take your current prices with you, you must make sure you make it clear that this is what you want to do.
Don't forget that if E.ON don't supply the new house, you will need to let the current supplier know that you have moved in and give them your readings, E.ON will then take the supply from them once the transfer is initiated.
Give me a shout if you need any more info.
