She had to take her ex as there is a flight of stairs.

She didn't know about the stairs even though she will have been there before.

He just happened to be in the area working and walked past JCP as his ex partner was going in...?

Or he called her and said, 'oh by the way, I'm in the area and even though we've been apart for four months, I happen to know you are going to JCP so I'll come with you'...?

Or she called him and said 'I know we've been separated for four months but I have to go to JCP so do you fancy meeting me there if you are in the area?'...?

It wasn't his day to have his child so he wouldn't have wanted to take him for a walk, so he was therefore meeting her and not there for his son.

    But he was working anyway...?

And the LO is 14 months old so hardly a babe in arms anyway!!

Methinks someone is trying it on!

Yawn, the father was there by luck, he is a contracted electrician and was local.

my sister was offended not upset at getting there and realising that she was not able to get up the stairs with her son who was asleep in his buggy. She couldnt russle up a padlock. The staff were nto prepared to take responsibilty for her buggy (I dont blame them)

Then your sister is very easily offended! She had her ex with her, no harm done and she will be able to plan ahead for next time. It's not like anyone deliberately designed the building to wind your sister up.

I'm sorry Daska would like to be refered to as a muppet, stupid, lacking in common sense and have yr nephew refered to as a way to obtain moneY. Then yes your right. I do not like the answers.

You're not going to like my answer...

No I wouldn't like to be called these things but then I probably wouldn't have behaved like a muppet by presenting myself to the job centre in such a fashion that sniffed, even vaguely, of fraud.

I would have done things the way I did actually do them in October of last year which was to ring the Job Centre, speak to my personal adviser, explain my access/childcare difficulties that would make attending the appointment very difficult and get my appointment deferred to a time when I could attend unencumbered. In fact I'm still waiting for an appointment because having spoken with my personal adviser she was able to defer my appointment for 6 months.

If your sister was genuinely treated badly and rudely and refused a private interview then she should make a written complaint.

I would be very careful if I was you Daska, I dont appreciate what you are implying and it could cause you and I both a problem if you suggest anything like that again.. you dont just chuck words like that around.

Why on eath would the childs father being present suggest that a fraudulent act is taking place?

I do not know how many times i have to say this but she couldnt pre empt the stairs. She didnt get a letter and then think hmm I wonder if this appointment will be in an upstairs office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I not HER came on the forum and bounced the idea around as to whether it was right to be treated that way and what poeple thought generally about the access.

I think maybe this post is getting a bit out of hand, its not really in the right place and people are getting a bit too negative now.

Right I will clear this up and then not bother replying to any more troll posts, timewasters.

    1. She has not been to this Job Centre before. Who are you to decide she has.. an assumption.

    2. How did you come up with the idea "inspector clueless" that he must have been there to see her?? He sees her several times a week to see his son.

    3. What has the fact they have been seperated for 4 months, again another assumption by you as you have just looked at my old posts and made yet another assumption, got to do with anything. She needed help wioth her son.

    4. God I feel like im talking to my OH workmates at the nick.. right officer this is how it went, so your clear:

She got a letter for an app, it DID NOT state there was no access for pushchair. Therefore she made no "special arrangemnets or calls to reschedule" because SHE DID NOT KNOW.

SHE HAD NOT BEEN TO THIS JOB CENTRE BEFORE

When she arrived, early I assume, sadly I failed to ask her (oh wouldnt I be a crap copper) she became aware that she would have to go up stairs

Now naughtily I know but I didnt ask how she contacted her ex partner, but she did.

Weirdly he works close to where he/she lives and within close proximity of the Job Centre... crazy i know!!

He came, reluctantly (what a sod eh?) as she was quite pushy, not to see her but to look after his son. Again i never asked (slap my hand) but he was able to leave work for a short while, hey he may have even been due his lunch break, now that would be funny wouldnt it... oh so convienient, maybe even fraudulent lmao

He arrived and he helped her with the buggy up the stairs.

Yes he is a year and one month, hardly a toddler... surely a toddler can toddle about. He cant. Maybe you would have prefered her to encourage him to crawl up the stairs, I am sure you would be happy for your baby to put their little hands on the sh**ty steps covered with spit and pi** from the streets outside. In our area its not a done thing lol

They carried the baby and buggy upstairs and the person began speaking to my sister about her personal finances in front of every one incl her ex. This made her feel a little uncomfortable so she requested the discussion continue in private.

They moved to a private room and was then asked who the person was with her, why they were there and asked whether they were living with her.

She informed them that she was fully aware on the law and that she needed to inform them should her circumstances changed. She stated her circumstances had not changed.

Questions were repeated and she explained to them again that she was not stupid and knew that she had to keep them informed of any changes and their were none and that she did not feel it neccesary to explain who the person outside was.
She still gave the info and they proceeded to write his name down and put a question mark next to it. Why because he was present to help her care for HIS child ??

I never recall using the term "babes in arms". As far as i am concerned he cant walk so has to be carried??????????????????

What part is "someone trying something on" ... lmao what was there for me to gain for making up a story about someone elses visit to a job centre.

Just the mere thought that you had nothing better to do than trawl though all my posts to find incriminating evidence.. not sure whether to shiver or feel flattered. Thats just weird.

I know people love to come on forums like this and be accertive, because in real life they wouldnt say boo to a goose but really.. come on you have ducked under the point and maliciously trying to stir

I am not replying to any more crap about my sisters private affairs, they are no one elsesbusiness.

    My points were simply this;

    1. What peoples GENERAL opinions were about the lack of access to a job centre (really there are some normal people on her posting normal commments)

    2. How poeple felt about the interogation process when on benefiits, like you have signed your private life away

Now answers (in a normal debate, that does not involve village idiots chucking insults) could ge abit like this...

    "I agree because..."

    "I disagree because...."

Not being funny or anything, but wouldn't it be common sense to ask if there was access?
