Free legal expenses cover with bike quote

I am looking for new motorcycle insurance and came across

whilst the quote + search did not come up with the cheapest insurance (Bennetts did by £30) they have sent me a free 12mths legal protection cover, this at Bennetts costs £25.

It may be worth getting a quote just for the leagl cover.....

You cannot get motor legal protection as a stand alone product as far as I am aware... if you can then the likes of DAS or Albany would be the obvious ones that would offer it.

MLP is arguably a very good product both for a customer and from an insurers point of view but on the grand scheme of things is fairly limited in scope - ie only about vehicle accidents. The legal expenses you get with home insurance (often called Family Legal Protection) has much greater range of things covered including 24hr free legal advice on almost any topic but does not cover claims arising from motor accidents when you are the driver of any of the vehicles involved - good from a customers point of view but not as good from an insurance companies

I would suspect that if there is a stand alone product then it will combine these two products into one and so you will have to cross compare it to both add ons and consider that when looking at the price.

I do know one solicitors firm that does the FLP type insurance as stand alone but it isnt true insurance and they charge £150 a year but it is aimed more at sole traders/ SMEs
