Hi everyone.
I am trying to find out which hotels are closest to the Disney Village in Florida.
We are only spending 4 days in Florida and we don't really want to rent a car.
So would it be advisable to be near the disney village? I presume they must have some kind of transport that will get you places.!
I would love to hear about experiences in Disney Village, Like food and night life.
Cheers
Dave

We stayed in Country inn Suites LBV which is very close to Downtown Disney, there were free buses to take you to and from the parks if required.0

We stayed at the Grosvenor resort the last time we went it was a 2 minute walk from the Disney Village just accross the road as you can see on the site. There were buses to take us to all the attractions we only used the once as we had a car and prefered the unrestriction of having to depend on the buses no returning to the hotel to get the car ect. Im not one for planning ahead so any form of bus train ect Im not very good with I go and stand there untill one comes along rather than finding out the times and going for the time.
I think Im going back to Disneyworld next year I havnt been for about 5 years now so I hope things will have changed slightly but I did go to Disneyland last september that was brilliant.0 -
By Disney Village I'm assuming you mean the Downtown Disney area (the walt disney resort is 46 square miles I think they equare it to the size of Greater Manchester) The nearest hotels are the ones on Hotel Plaza Blvd (i think thats the name) there's a Hilton, Grosevenor, Best Western, Royal Plaza & Holiday Inn. Just outside that area at Lake Buena Vista are a load of other hotels including the country in suites mentioned above. Or Disney Hotels/Resorts of Old Key West & Saratoga Springs & Port Orleans which are connected by boat to DTD.
There are enough restaurant around that area for 4 nights. Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Fultons Crabhouse, An Irish one names escapes me, Wolfgang pucks and a couple more.0 -
most of the hotels in kissimee offer free bus transport to disney, its only a couple miles away, theres loads of hotels and eating places there so u have a vast choice and u should be able toget some reasonable deals
