Advice needed - bank charges

Hi
I'm new to the forum, and need some advice re bank charges. Last year, we contacted a company who claimed they could help us retrieve our bank and credit card charges.
They managed to reclaim my credit card charges, but once they had taken their fees, there was very little left. When it came to my bank charges, I recieved a letter saying that it was on hold subject to the outcome of last years High Court ruling. Obviously with the outcome, it made claiming very difficult, and I contacted the company, who advised that the claim would no longer be going ahead.
Given that I am in severe financial hardship , with a deficit of £700 PER MONTH, compared to my income, I was wondering if I can still persue the charges on my own ?.
I would rather have no dealings with this company in the future, as they havent been the easiest people to deal with.
If I persued it on my own, using the templates from the site, and was successful, would the said company be entitled to take a % of any money earned?
I'm so confused....any help would be greatly appreciated.:(

Maybe.
Read the terms & conditions of the agreement you signed with the company.
Seeing as you think you are in so much hardship, why not see if you can pursue the company you paid for a refund of their charges if they haven't delivered?
If you successfully do that, it might be considered the original contract was anulled and so they wouldn't then be able to pursue you if you were later to successfully reclaim charges from the bank yourself."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Ask the company in writing that they are withdrawing representing you in the bank charges claims. That means that they would get 0% of any monies you reclaimed.
Then you can pursue financial hardship on your own with the bank directly.
Premier, the company would have done some work(yes, probably minimal imho but they would have provided a service so I don't agree that the claims company can be chased for money, unfortunately, and I think the OP would be wasting their energy if they are in financial hardship).0 -

Whoops, looks like I misread the OP, at least in part
The credit card charges appear to have been refunded, but the company's fees swallowed most of them up. That's just tough (assuming the fees were as agreed).
Regarding the bank charges, it seems like the company will not be progressing the claim, which presumably was what the OP contracted them to do. Depending on the terms of that contract, that appears on the face of it to be a possible breach of contract.
It's not clear if the OP has actually paid up front for this though..."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
