Reviewing windows update history . . . issues ?

 I decided to have a look at my M$ windows update history.

So everything was OK until I went back to March this year where there are 4 updates with a red circle and question mark against them. Followed the instructions, clicked the question mark and waited for instructions of how to correct the 'errors'.
Instead, the normal update process started, then finished saying that there are no updates required . . . cannot remember exactly what it said, but everything looked normal anyway.

My two questions

If everything is OK why are there red circles still there ?
If everything isn't OK how can I download those four updates successfully ?

Many thanks

Normally if you are using Auto Update and one doesn't download or install correctly, it should be captured the next time the Auto update process starts

Check through your history again and see if this has happened

Went back and sorted by update title.

One of the failed downloads was on 24th March, windows malicious software removal tool (KB890830) which was subsequently successfully downloaded 5 times on different dates . . . strange that

Only one that hasn't downloaded successfully subsequently - a security update, error code Ox80200010 'installation failure'. A pop up said something like you can go to faq's or forums or contact microsoft for help how to download it.

    will do that

    Thanks again Lee634
