in Credit cards
Hi there guys,
I've currently two RBS credit cards with similarly moderate balances on them. I've set up a direct debit to pay the minimum each month (paying off the accumulated holiday damage is beyond my monthly means). I would however like to set up a standing order to pay off, say £100/month per card... I'm always forgetting to make the extra payments manually and it's beginning to frustrate me!
Is that possible? Any comments much appreciated!

Why wouldn't it be possible? I would however keep the direct debit as well, just in case that the statement date or due date changes (as it happened to few Barclaycard customers).
I would set up the SO couple of days before the DD date is due out..0 -
it's certainly possible as a standing order is simply a bacs transfer that happens each month .... but do check what happens to the DD
in some cases CC companies won't take the DD if another payment is made, some take it even if it puts the card into credit.
best to make sure there are a clear number of days separating the DD and the other payment0 -
Yeah - they wont generally take the DD for the minimum payment if you have already made a payment over and above the min, which makes sense as he minimum due is now nil.0
