(searched the timesonline site and couldn't find an offer for preview screenings for this movie, only saw a competition to win a pair of premiere tickets http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,17970-2344231.html {probably just me being ditzy again) so my apologies beforehand - however, it doesn't hurt to be aware that the Times may be running a promo for free preview tickets for this movie as well - all screenings on 12th September at Vue Cinemas around the country)
IF this is the usual offer from the Times it's Not quite FREE but - cheaper than buying 2 tickets though.
In theory you will need the coupon from The Knowledge that is inside a Saturday's copy of the Times (cost £1.20 I think)
To claim two tickets to a preview, choose your cinema from the list below, then call the booking line. You will be given a reference number. Write that number on the voucher printed in The Knowledge in today's Times and present it at the screening.
0901 553 0240 (50p/min)
Calls should last no longer than four minutes. Calls from mobiles and payphones may cost more. Lines close at time & date (depends on the offer)
or when all tickets have been allocated, whichever is the sooner.
The venues are always VUE CINEMAS and as far as I am aware are ALWAYS ....
London:
Finchley Road
Fulham, Islington
Shepherds Bush
Outside London:
Bolton
Bristol Cribbs
Bury
Cardiff
Cheshire Oaks
Croydon Grants
Edinburgh Omni
Leeds Light
Plymouth
Portsmouth
Romford
York
Terms and conditions
Tickets are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis via the phone line.
Readers who successfully claim tickets will need to write their booking code on this voucher and take it along to the cinema on date & time (according to screening)
No cash alternative.
No late admittance.
The cinemas reserve the right to refuse admission.

One entry per person. Competition closes at noon, Friday September 8.
If you're not our lucky winner, you can still see Talladega Nights ahead of the crowd at one of our preview screenings next Tuesday, September 12. See The Knowledge on Saturday or Culture on Sunday for your chance to get your hands on a pair of tickets.

one time i didnt make it and there was no time to notify them.
Since then I no longer get tickets offered to me through their emails.
I still manage to get tickets but only thanks to those who post the codes on this forum
Could it be that I am being penalized by seefilmfirst for not showing up one time?
That happened to me as well, they got a right sulk on and didn't send me anymore screenings for about 4 months and then when they did send me they were filled up. But now I come on here and get to see 2-3 films a month without their update emails so yah-boo sucks to them!
I've just subscribed to this thread so I don't forget to look as sometimes I do. Went to see Little Miss Sunshine on Tuesday (it was fandabidozy!), seeing hoodwinked on 17th and Devil Wears Prada on 28th. May also buy heat and see the new Will Ferrell as well - don't think I'll be spending any of our £30 allowance for cinema trips this month - hurrah!0 -

Would it be helpful to have a thread where you can ONLY post details of tickets, not who managed to get them, where they're still available etc, and have another forum for comments.I don't know about anyone else, but i found it much easier when each one was on a seperate thread.0

Hi, the "Try Me Free Hunt" thread, has the details of the current offers as post 2. This is updated regularly, so that if you just want ot see the offers, you look there. Chat is then at the end of the thread, so you don't have to read it if you don't want to.
Is this possible here?
