WELSH-DRAGON wrote:I took my 4 kiddies to see Barbie today, we tried to catch the train in however, they were running buses which stopped at every train station to Cardiff. I took them to McDonalds for lunch (using vouchers a kind Mse'r sent me) and then we watched Barbie catching the bus instead of the train home.
Total cost today:
For 5 return train tickets - Zero nobody took any money from any passengers,
Discounted food for the 5 of us at Mcdonalds less than £8
5 tickets to Barbie free apart from cost of text messages, 15p max
Sweets and drinks courtesy of some voucher usage at Tescos so free
RESULT: Top bargain day out and 5 happy children who loved the film and their goodie bags.
I expected to see alot more people there but it wasn't that full considering it was free.

Didn't you have to buy tickets at the station then?0 -

Hiya Crabby - no when we got to the train station the ticket office was closed so we queued for the bus got on and there were no Rail staff on the bus to collect the fares. Both at the stop to get on and stop to return home there 2 railway staff who were simply directing passengers. I would have thought that someone somewhere would collect payment but nope, nobody was available to take our money. When we got off in Cardiff we were dropped off in the station car park so did not have to walk anywhere near ticket barriers.
Saved me quite a few bucks today :T Welshy xI am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

Yes the previews are the full movies. The advantage is tho, they don't show any adverts or trailers, so you just get the movie.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -

Unlike SFF where they send an email of the ticket immediatly. Borat-Movie sends out a reminder which contains the printable ticket.0
