its not that i dont appriciate the freebies but am i the only one who gets a little miffed at the early start times?
i apply for all the tickets but it seems the some of the movies i really wanted to see i had to miss and say i couldnt go because i dont usually finish work til 6pm and brum is a 45min drive away for me.
do they never have
any later shows say 7pm? or 8pm?
as even if i finished at 5pm or 5.30pm (like i expect most on here would) its a bit of a rush to get to see the movies.
i think its just that the cinemas would benifit more as everytime i have managed to see a movie the cinemas are always half empty.
so many people are missing out.
you'd think they would be fairly full in brum with it being the second city of england an all.
sorry if it seems like i'm moaning i'm dont mean too as i'm really thankful for the free movies, i just seem to miss the ones i'd rather see if you get what i mean. ie borat in a few weeks...(though i'm gonna try an scam out early as i really really really wanna see it)0 -

Quite often the Telegraph screenings are 8pm for 8.30pm start.

I got them from the box office at Metrocentre.
I was enquiring about The History Boys (which I'd really like to see but haven't got tickets yet) and the cashier produced what looked like a cash box from under the counter and said sorry no tickets for History Boys but we have these. Not sure what the film is about but it's got Kevin Cosner in, so it should be good. Would you like some? I said yes please, may I have 2? Voila 2 free tickets. She did say not to tell the manager though. Which of course I didn't.0 -

That Chance Chanel fragrance had free cinema tickets at the Odeon, but I don't know whether they can be redeemed for any premiere or not. Any help?0

I went to Cineworld in Liverpool re The History Boys and was told the Telegraph had stopped doing the tickets and instead they took your name and how many tickets you were allowed. Now I just turn up and give my name on Tuesday!0

Films called The Guardian. Basically a film about Air Sea Rescue, US style. Heard it said by one crictic as 'like "An Officer and a Gentleman" but with helicopters'

HELP?Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0
