I've done a search but I think my searching skills are broken as I kept getting "no matches" even when I just typed in "car" so I do apologise if there are a million threads.
How do I get a new car key?
Mine has got lost and I only have the one. It's not a chip, or an alarm fob. The car is an R reg Citroen Saxo. I presume I would have to ring the main dealers, but will I be able to get a new key? Does anyone know how much it is likely to cost?
Thanks

Speak to the main dealer in the first instance, but could be a couple of hunderd pounds depending on if it is chiped?

Try the local key cutters. If it's not chipped it should only be a few pounds.
Blanks can be available from eBay. Certainly are for Fords.

If anyone is interested....Citroen Main Dealer said they could do one for £35 + VAT and get it to me for tomorrow afternoon.
One of the kids at DS1's school told me about a local auto locksmith so I tried there and he did me one in minutes for £12! It works. Yay.April 2006 - £9790.26dr. DFD - March 20110
