Processor bus?

Options
Have used Belarc to find all my bios but need to know if my processor bus is 533Mhz or 667Mhz? Thanks

1,67 gigahertz Intel Pentium III
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Also perhaps you can help me out with a couple of other problems? Bought my laptop from Comet online, was stated the laptop I was buying had 'play and record live tv' in built,it don't, plus the web page has gone and they are saying they therefore can't check if it did say so. Can they find out?

Internet explorer - makes a clicking noise when I click on a page or a page loads, tried turning it off but instead all the sound went, so had to turn it back on. Would love to turn it off?
Firefox - When a new box appears on a page (extra box that appears within a page, eg like wanting to see a item on the Next page) the scroll is lost and I therefore can't add to basket etc? Thanks all

PS: clicking in IE not in Firefox - page fine in IE not in Firefox

No responses needed, sending this laptop back, terrible sound.

Download EVEREST Home Edition from here:
http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/page2.html it will tell you everything about your laptop.

Yes, but seeing as it's going to require some 'effort' on their part and probably going to cost them some money when you return the laptop to them, they are going to be stuck with a 2nd hand computer. The question is likely to be, do they really want too. Best advice, goto google.com or google.co.uk into the search box put the 'Acer model number & comet.co.uk', from the resulting hits. Click on the 'cache' links to see what the laptop description is\was. Pay particular attention to ciao\kelkoo\pricegrabber type of links as they archive such things for ever! Or give the Comet model number here, you will probably need to look on your receipt as comet tend to add additional characters on the end of their model numbers, this is so you can't look them up on the internet and compare 'like for like' then see if anyone can turn anything up.

Most people I know turn that stuff off, who needs the continual distractions of clicks and whistles when you're using your applications. You should have left them all off :) Anyway, you can find their individual entries in Start\Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Device Properties, Sounds tab. It should say 'Sound Scheme' and give you a selectable profile 'no sounds' and 'windows default' in the lower box, there should be some entries for Internet Explorer. If not, then look for 'Windows' and double click an entry, then click Apply open IE or do whatever you do that makes the sound, if the sound doesn't cease, then go and renable the entry you unabled and move onto the next. Do this untill you find the right entry that stops the sound that you find annoying. I could tell you which one it is, but as I said, I turn them ALL off! :D

I've no idea what you're describing, sorry. What I can tell you is that FF doesn't natively spawn additional windows. So it's either something wrong with the webpage or something wrong with an 'extention' you have installed. You can configure the 'extentions' by going to Tools\Extentions, when the window pops up, right click on the entry that relates to how tabs are handled and look for Options. See if you can work out which one it is and alter the behaviour accordingly.

Alternatively, you could press the 'print screen\prnt scr' key on your keyboard when this happens, open Windows Paint (start\programs\accessories\paint goto Edit then Paste, save the file to your desktop using a unique file name. Then goto https://www.imageshack.us and upload the image. Then paste the 'forum code' into any replies you make to this topic. It will at least give any potential reader an idea of what's happening. It would also be a benefit if you could leave your 'extentions' panel open so we can see which one's you have installed.

Edit: I forgot to say, some people have had success using: IE View http://ieview.mozdev.org/ which allows you to use firefox but call IE for those difficult to view\use webpages. It apparantly calls an instance of IE into firefox. Which may help.

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
