1st swimming lesson cancelled due to a dirty pool(Holbrook)! what are my rights?

Got to my 4 year olds swimming lesson today and there was poo and vomit in the pool and the lesson was cancelled, I have paid £30 for the term and feel really unhappy about the hygene at the centre. It is due to be knocked down in 2 years and no one seems to look after it. They offered to take the lessons fee off next term?
Is it reasonable to ask for a full refund?

Not going to, just too dirty. The Manager showed no sign of sorting the problem out, they don't even have the normal nets to remove things, the swimming instructor was shocked by the state of the pool.0

Why did you book lessons somewhere in such a bad state of repair??
Poo and vomit is an accompanyment with having young kids.... e.g up to around 4yrs old.
Should the pool management stick bungs up their poop shoot just in case a little tyke can't make it to the throne in time?
If I were you, I would ask for a refund and go and have a look at another Pool BEFORE paying for a whole course of lessons.0 -
Well it is the closest for 6 miles, The changing rooms are not the best but I thought the council/Envromental health would check the water quality??? The swimming teacher is great and highly thought of!
I know I said the 1st lesson but I ment out of the ones I booked this term as DD has been there since sept and has really loved it.0 -
So your child has been before? Was the hygiene there ok prior to this incident, or has there been excrement and vomit there previously? If there hasn't, and it is a one off, then if your daughter enjoys going, keep going, and chalk it up as an "experience". If however it has happened before, or keeps occuring, then stop going and insist on a full refund. Also, I would be inclined to contact environmental health if it did keep happening.0

The pool had poo and vomit in it,so they closed it.
How is it dirty on previous occasions?0 -
I think you have every right to sue the second layer of Government in this country.0

But surely closing it in this case shows there is a standard of hygene? It would depend on what it was like before as well?
Also because a building isn't refurbished due to it may being knocked down in a couple of years doesn't have anything to do with the standard of hygene in it's pool.0 -
