I think my vid is getting on a bit now so would not mind the latest technology in recording for the 21st century.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but how i see it is if i get a Sky+ box i will be charged £10 a month more on top of what i pay now. But can i get a freeview box and it will work okay with my Sky existing box To record Sky sports or is it not that simple seems Sky+ is £10 and a freeview recorder is a one off payment. It won't be that simple will it?

I‘m pretty sure you can’t record sky on a freeview+ box. You can on a DVD recorder but you can only record what you are watching. If you have an aeriel connect to your TV you can watch terrestrial TV while recording Sky0

NO freeview is tv aerial
Sky and freesat are satellite
You can use freeview separately along with sky on your sky+box on a modern tv or get a feeview box or freeview+ box but it wont record sky0 -
Thanks for that. I don't want to be paying more to Sky per month so can i just get an ordinary dvd recorder to record Sky sports. It's just to replace my vid thats all0
