Pension at 50 ?

I served for 14 years in the Army, i am now 52..someone told my that untill 1st April i can take out 25%........is this true and would it be worth it...i left as a full cpl.

When I was in the Mob several years ago anyone who did at least 2 years qualified for what was called a "preserved pension" at 60.
you should have received some paperwork in your discharge pack up.
You need to check with someone in authority.

You will have your defered army pension & lump sum which is payable at 60. To take it earlier than that you will have to transfer it to a private pension, even then you have 1 month till the rules change and you have to wait till 55.
Transfering it to a private pension means giving up the "gold-plated" public sector guarantees & taking on the market risks/rewards0
