Hi, my daughters home page on IE 7 has defaulted to search.iminent.com. Can anyone let me know what this site is about and can it be trusted?

Never heard of it but if you are not entirely sure just change it. Use drop down menu next to Home symbol and click Add or change Homepage

I tried that first, but it still returned to the iminent page. It seems to be some form of emoticon programme and mouse pointer image software. So have uninstalled.

Had a look and it seems that it is a search engine designed for Instant Messaging. Seems safe enough and was probably selected while downloading something like MSN or AIM. But like I said if you dont want it....Change it.

Sounds like a malware infection to me.
